With the release of the "Something Left Behind" single Until Dusk Fades brings a heavy and fierce approach to a melodic and orchestrated soundscape.

"Something left behind is about feeling lost, alone, and not knowing who you are after a break up or divorce. As time goes by and your heart starts to heal you then realise who you are and who you were and finding your place again without the other person. You start believing that you have a place here on earth and that you are loved and cared for. You start believing in yourself again and take back control of your own life." explains songwriter Carli Zakk of the single.

In the twilight of the day, when light eludes sight, insecurities and anger lies hidden in the shadows of what was…Crossroads were lost and found, growl threats in your ear. Carli Zakk, multi-talented in the art of combing violent lyrics with special musical effects to tell the story from deep within, stories of conflict, discovery and painful growth!

The artist’s love for music, birthed at a young age, evolved from embracing melodies of notes into riffs of carefully crafted musical progression into the metal genre. Carli possesses the gift of blending instrumental influences with powerful lyrics to share her message of survival, from pain to pivoting self-actualization, to such an extent that the music has a creepy inspirational invitation to search deep for your own birthplace of light buried deep in the shadows of hurt, rejection and pain.

The artist originates from South Africa, Gauteng region, where she embraces the vibe of city life, carefully observing how the everyday shadows in people impact their choices, keep people imprisoned and often weak. She writes daringly and exposes her own path into the liberating dawn of renewal in carefully crafted songs. She has a message of hope to her audience, one of taking self-control, chiseling away a path to the new, crafting new goals fit for your own life!

"I started writing songs from a very young age as a way of reflecting on my life, events, and my emotions. It was truly a great creative form of expression for me. It made me feel empowered and that I can conquer anything if I just write it in a song. I always wanted to write music and create it in my unique style. And I think, with my new music it is truly shining through. My EP album was based on emotional hurt I experienced and felt I needed to write about it as there is way more people out there that feel the same. The lyrics are very symbolic, as is all of my music, and it captures the essence of my hurt and of me symbolicly removing it from my life. My new music, is about empowerment, for myself and/or others. I write about my own experiences and of what I have heard, and incorporate it in my lyrics and expression.," Carli Zakk
