With the release of "You Are Me", LVCQ delivers a blend of grunge, metal, and alternative rock, all with a massive persona attached.

"You Are Me is about people trying to tell me who I am, or who they think I should be. It comes from that frustration and anger building up over time when you feel misunderstood or boxed in. The track starts restrained, but as it goes on the emotion grows heavier and more intense, because that’s how it felt for me, everything piling up until it had to come out," explains the artist of his song.

LVCQ is the solo post-metal/post-rock project of 14-year-old UK multi-instrumentalist Luca
who has been performing and writing music since he was 8 years old.

The debut single called You Are me was released on 23 January 2026 and is written, sung
and performed entirely by Luca, who plays all instruments on the track. Recorded by Max
Jenkins and mixed and mastered by Oren Ford at Spirit Sound Studios the song is built
around a slow-burn tension and reflects a desire to create music without compromise.
While Luca is also active in a young rock band, LVCQ exists independently, serving as a
personal outlet where his ideas can develop organically.

Speaking about the project, Luca said: “LVCQ is where I go when I don’t want to think about
what a band should sound like. It’s slower, heavier in a different way, and honest. I wanted
to see what would happen if I just followed the feeling and didn’t overthink it.”
The single has already received early radio support ahead of release, signalling strong
interest in the project’s raw and understated approach.

Marlon at TwistedPulse Reviews said: “Created at just fourteen (years old) - adds another
layer entirely: a young artist already exploring weight, introspection, and emotional depth
with a level of control far beyond his years. It’s haunting, restrained, and quietly powerful.”
The release marks the first step in a wider body of work, with an EP currently in development
and planned for later this year. Following the EP, Luca intends to bring LVCQ to the stage
with a small group of musicians for a handful of carefully chosen shows.

The single is available on all major streaming platforms from 23 January, with additional
material and direct support on Bandcamp. Ongoing updates can be found on Instagram.
