Jonathan Foster 2024.jpg

With the release of "Jaguar Butterfly", Jonathan Foster takes a fresh approach to a classic folk style. Laced with addictive melodies, beautiful undertones, and plenty of character, the record boasts the aesthetic of singer-songwriter anthems.

"This is a song of hope and is dedicated to our friend Lori and the Malloy family in Austin, Texas. Lori is battling Glioblastoma (brian cancer). In Mesoamerican cultures, stories have been passed down through generations stating that when a jaguar is seen in the forest with a butterfly it is a sign of rebirth. May is also Brain Tumor Awareness month and to learn more about this or to donate to research please visit https://glioblastomafoundation.org”

Jonathan explains of his single.

Jonathan Foster has been involved with music since the age of 15 when a friend gave him a classical guitar and over time, he began slowly but surely teaching himself chords and arrangement.

He eventually had a solo in his school's musical production of Guys and Dolls which he performed at 17, and soon after had written his first song called "Selfish" which was later published.

The artist has now written over 100 songs and released 6 studio albums along with performing his 800th live show.

"I am a much more accomplished singer, songwriter, and guitar player than I was a decade ago and I have added the harmonica to my regular repertoire for the past 5 years. My sound still has a similar thread throughout my career, as I have always strived to be the most authentic to what I can be singing with an acoustic guitar."

says Jonathan of how he has grown as an artist.

"Jaguar Butterfly" is available for streaming and download on all major outlets on May 7th and the artist is already working on new material for upcoming releases this summer.
