With the release of "Love Letter to The Dead", Chloe Clemente takes a fresh approach to an alternative rock style. Laced with addictive melodies, hard hitting undertones, and plenty of character, the record boasts the aesthetic of heavy rock anthems.
"Love letters to The Dead is about grieving and the back and forth of denial. From a young age I have lost family members and friends, the first being my grandmother at the age of 9 to pancreatic cancer. Out of all my family members, I was closest to her. Her death was a shock to my system and completely changed how I saw life in general. My grandfather played a big part in how I wrote the lyrics. I wrote a lot of the lyrics from his perspective, as he had Altzhiemers and dementia during my grandmother's passing. After she passed, he would bring her flowers and would look for her. Seeing this happen in real time really put things into perspective for me.
With grieving I feel like we all write love letters to someone/something that isn’t there and our hearts still search for them. I’ve experienced this in past relationships, deaths, and even for periods of my life. Eventually though, the goal is to love them but not dwell on their absence. Life is about living, and I seek to enjoy all of it. I can only hope that this song helps others process through tough times and leads the way for healing and growth.”
Chloe explains the meaning behind her single.
Chloe Clemente’s musical journey began when she was very young and by the age of 14 she was already performing in bands and singing as much as possible.
Since then, she has played for crowds across the United States and has graced the stage of such legendary venues as The Whiskey A Go-Go and House of Blues among others.
After spending the past 6 years playing in bands Chloe decided to begin her solo career with her first release in 2023 called "Angels Cry" to rave reviews.
With people around her telling her pursuing a solo career would be too hard; she took her own path and looks to inspire others to follow their heart and do the same no matter what anyone says.
"Love Letters to The Dead" serves as a testament to where she is at with her sound right now.
