With the release of his full length Uncertainty LP, Wes Hampson takes a fresh approach to some classic genres to give the record a life all its own. Laced with addictive progressions, a passionate indie vocal approach, and grunge overtones, the record boasts the aesthetic of alternative rock anthems.

The first single, “Wander", immediately grabs you with it's infectious acoustic rock groove, followed by it's building arrangement giving way for a powerful chorus that allows it to breathe as it plays on.

"'Wander' is about the crushing feeling of finding out that the one you love does not feel the same for you, so now you’re left stranded, alone, and unsure about what to do next." explains the songwriter of his single.

Although the single speaks volumes for the album, to get a real understanding of where Wes Hampson is coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.

"The single is a pretty solid introduction into my style as a musician: heavy drums, driving riffs, and ear-catching melodies throughout. What you’re hearing on Uncertainty is really my first attempt at creating full-length songs entirely by myself, and I’ve already got ideas cooking for the future. Moving forward, I’d like to delve into heavier sounds, like that featured on '...And That’s All She Wrote', as well as explore more psychedelic textures like what you hear on 'The Sun'." says Hampson of writing the record and what's to come.

Guitarist and songwriter Wes Hampson has been a self taught musician since he first sat behind a drum kit at the age of  13.  Growing up in a small town in  northern Illinois with not much else to do, Hampson spent most of his time jamming to bands like Zeppelin, and System of  A Down, and Smashing Pumpkins. At 16 he picked up a bass after hearing Nirvana's legendary Nevermind album. Falling in  love with bassist Krist Novoselic's playing, he focused  on the bass for quite some time. It wasn't long after that he started coming  up  with his own ideas for songs. Grabbing an acoustic guitar  at the age of 18, things began to fall into place quickly. The Uncertainly album was recorded and produced by Hampson himself before relocating to Seattle where the 24 year old now resides. The multi-instrumentalist uses his music as an outlet for his emotions as an experiment to see where he can take his musical ability.

Uncertainty is available now for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets and the artist is always working on new material for upcoming releases.
