With the release of the "Blank Space_Remix" single, The Other Each Other takes a new approach to blending several genres to create something all their own. Laced with character, a vintage undertone, and plenty of hooks, the record boasts the aesthetic of indie groove anthems.
"Just a reflection on the device centered culture we've fallen into and a want to get away from that. This is a remix from the LP. I've always loved remixes and how they bring out new elements in a song. In this song I wanted to bring out the bass and speed things up a bit to make it more dance-y. I was also partly inspired by all the remixes Metronomy have done in the last few years.” explains songwriter Joel Finch of the single.
The Other Each Other is the brainchild of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joel Finch out of Seattle .
After releasing a full-length album dubbed Mirror Memorials and seeing it build accolades in to form of air play and reviews, the remix of "Blank Space", one of the album's singles, was created.
The songwriting is always changing and when asked about his evolution in songwriting, Finch had this to say; "Definitely starting to focus on non-traditional instrumentation and tuning, which will be more evident in a couple of upcoming EP's"
The release is a testament to where he is at with the sound right now and with the upcoming EP releases, there is plenty more on the horizon.
The single is available on most digital outlets, and you can find more information on the project by visiting: The Other Each Other
