With the release of the Paint In Green album,

The Humane Method takes some of the best elements of experimental, indie, and even prog-rock and breeds something all their own.

"Lyrically there is a recurring theme about uncertainty. The stress of financial hardship or the anticipated outcomes over unjust acts, however abstract, are felt throughout, and these themes inject themselves into emotions ranging from sorrow and menacing to anger and outrage. Musically there are also themes tied to emotions as interludes placate certain moods before shifting course to adopt completely new sensations. Paint in Green came from a lyric with cynical intentions regarding corruption. The complete line is ‘shake the hands of spies then paint in green’ i.e. make a dishonest deal to effectively print as much money as one desires.   " explains the band.

Hailing from Melbourne’s Northwest but assembled from previous bands as far as London, this new, if seasoned meeting of the minds that calls itself The Humane Method is armed and ready to rouse all in their wake. As atmospheric and melancholy, as it is angular and abrasive, The Humane Method’s debut EP Reconcile In Colour saw a crown achievement for four old friends who brought their individual know-how deep into the thinktank, but this was only a taster for their majestic debut album where each trait has been heightened to ear-shattering effect. Recorded at Soundpark studios with resident wizard and consummate professional ‘Idge’, the album, Paint in Green, is the result of 18 months of vigorous and meticulous writing, fine-tuning and playing until fingertips bled, proving with each monumental listen that there’s a method to their madness. Wearing influences that range from Sigor Ros, Tool and Manchester Orchestra to AC/DC and Something For Kate firmly on their sleeve, the result is a cohesive and unique rock-rooted juggernaut set to seize all who hear and witness The Humane Method.

"The contrast between the EP and the LP is far greater than even we realized, particularly when heard in chronological order. The music has taken a far more serious tone and everything from arrangements to flow, dynamics, crescendos and lyrics are more refined, cohesive and thoroughly considered. Taking the traditional path of jamming each week (as opposed to the EP’s experimental approach), has had a noticeable effect in the way the songs breathe and allow themselves to succumb to their natural journey. The darker songs are suitably more unnerving, and yet, they are juxtaposed seamlessly against the sweeter, more melancholy moments. There is also a starkness that’s hard to articulate but may derive from influential Australian artists and the vast landscape that inevitably guides us all. ," says the band of their new release.

Paint In Green is available on all major outlets for streaming and download and serves as a testament to where the band is at with their sound right now.
