With the release of the Feral album, Sunweight takes a fresh approach to some classic genres and gives the record a life all its own. Lush with addictive progressions, a melodic and soulful vocal approach, and an aggressive undertone, the record boasts the aesthetic of alternative rock anthems.

The first single, “Birth", immediately grabs you with it's infectious deep rooted guitars, followed by it's building arrangement allowing it to build and breathe as it plays on.

"The song is called Birth because the song is partially about coming into the world and learning to become yourself after imitating influences, artistic and personal. Musically, it is an Overture in that it encapsulates a lot of production, lyrical, and musical ideas that are spread elsewhere across the record, like a highlight reel. It set the tone for the rest of the record, since it was the first song written for it." explains the band of their single.

Although the single speaks volumes for the album, to get a real understanding of where Sunweight is coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.

"We knew we had really honed in our natural sound, and we wanted to do these songs justice. We really got into intricate songwriting and wanted to put everything we had into this album." says songwriter Nathan Woloshin of creating the record.

Sunweight came to fruition in summer of 2016 as guitarist / vocalist Nathan Woloshin and bassist Allen Wade found drummer Patrick Mulhearn to complete their lineup. Knowing Allen from the University of Memphis Jazz Band, the fit worked. The trio went on to write songs together and it wasn't long before the Feral album was finally born. The release is a testament to where they are at with their sound right now.

Feral is available now for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets and the artist is currently working on new material for upcoming releases.
