With the release of the "Medusa" single, Old Eastern takes the best parts of several rock genres to create a sound all their own. With addictive progressions, loads of character, and a fuzztone feel, the track boasts the aesthetic of garage and indie-rock anthems.

"The second you put on "Medusa" you're automatically addicted to this sort of slightly dirty fuzz riff that gives you the rhythm of the track and the drumming follows suit with such a great and personality-riddled performance, but it all comes together and creates a sort of atmosphere that you end up falling right into.

This single gives off such massive influences and its underbelly and each one of those influences has ways of peeking out but what really hits hardest is this crazy almost live performance-style energy that the track gives off where it's as if it was recorded live on the floor and each of the players were feeding off of each other the entire time." - Recording Artist Guild

Old Eastern is a gritty, Baltimore whiskey rock band with a stripped down southern rock style blended with a mix of modern blues and funk. Brendan Clarke (bass) and Mike Smith (drums), round out a rhythm section that creates a wall of sound at the heart of each and every song. Nick Volk (vocals, rhythm guitar) adds a gritty and powerful vocal performance to match the growl of his oft distorted guitar. With Terry McGill (Harp) blasting away at the harmonica and screaming vocals at the top of his lungs.

Founded in 2012 their latest album “On the Rocks” highlights this style of in your face, bare bones modern rock music. With the album out, they’ve been spreading their style of WHISKEY ROCK in the “Land of Pleasant Living”(Baltimore, MD) and beyond.
