With the release of the Unpunctuated album, Like What takes a fresh approach to some classic genres. Laced with addictive melodies, edgy undertones, and plenty of character, the record boasts the aesthetic of dark wave anthems.

The first single and title track "Unpunctuated" grabs at you with vintage synths and raw hooks.

"This track really talks about the modern form of communication -
connecting people globally - friendships,
relationships across time zones." explains songwriter Balazs of the single.

Although the single speaks volumes for the album, to get a full understanding of where Like What is coming from, listening to the full release is a must.

Like What began as a project born from the lockdown of the pandemic. Having plenty of free time, creating music was one the ways songwriter Balazs kept his sanity throughout it all.

"After releasing my first album 'Avant-Garde', I felt more confident with the musical direction I was aiming for on the next album. So in this sense recording 'Unpunctuated' was a bit easier than the first releases. And I think this confidence is clearly there: a clearer, more coherent concept and production.

My main inspiration is cinema - mostly horror and film noir. These are movies with stark imagery, which can trigger a lot of emotions. I am trying to paint these images with very few words and let the music do the rest."
