With the release of the NUSENSE album, LaBrew II takes a new approach to blending genres to create something all his own. Laced with character, an edgy pop undertone, and plenty of hooks, the record boasts the aesthetic of alt-pop anthems.
The first single "Ill Wauder" grabs you with tasteful vocals and a bright groove that all becomes infectious.
"Ill Wauder is a glass full. When you drink the water of a mythical being that is ultimately unobtainable. As amazing as things may seem at the moment, it'll never be right, but you can't put down what they're giving you. It feels amazing but the blues in their eyes will always take over. Which leaves the question; can we clean up what we do, like our oceans, look at the effect in its totality. Look at the aftermath. ” explains the Labrew II of his single.
Although the single speaks volumes for the album, to get a full understanding of where Labrew II is really coming from, the record should be heard in its entirety.
"This EP is a concept record. It was created where I was finding a New Sense of self, but it felt like a Nuisance in the process.” says the artist of creating his sound.
LaBrew II has always had a keen sense for sound. It's something he can feel, and as a child, the artist would watch live performances and know that was what he wanted to do with his life.
As the artist himself explains, "My father worked concerts and my parents attended multiple shows while my mother was pregnant. From Prince, to Sade, and Tony! Toni! Toné! I stay at a show now."
Perhaps even then, LaBrew II was destined for musicianship. He kept going after childhood and began writing songs and honing his sound.
Learning the ropes, the artist networks, creates, and brands his work so that all the elements come together the way they should.
With the creation of NUSENSE, LaBrew II has laid a foundation for what his sound is right now.
NUSENSE is available on most major digital outlets for streaming and download and the artist has a video release date for the single on October 6th.
