With the release of the Show You EP, Freddy Gonzalez takes a fresh approach to genre crossing to give the record a life all it's own. Lush with addictive synth work, loads catchy vocal hooks, and persistent pop overtones, the record boasts the aesthetic of Electro synth pop anthems.

The first single, “Can't Forget", immediately grabs you with it's infectious groove and soulful vocal approach, followed by it's ever building arrangement giving the track the ability to breathe and grow as it plays on.

"The song is about personal progress; about getting to a place in life when you say, ‘Wow, things are looking up,’ but you know deep inside you have to be careful. You can’t forget those times in life that shaped you: the good, and the bad, the failures, the setbacks, and the times you got up and kept moving. Because, although I don’t want to go through those things again, I am strangely grateful to have experienced heartache. There is a strength that I think I wouldn’t have if I didn’t experience some trying times. I can’t forget what I learned about myself and about life during the cold, difficult times." explains the songwriter of his single.

Although the single speaks volumes for the EP, to get a real understanding of where Gonzalez is coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.

"I try to convey a subdued intensity in each song, a tension between melancholy and hope, as if a sad song suddenly started to smile, that’s typical of my music. The songs are stories, but not journal entries.  I seek not just to bare my soul to the world but to write genuine songs that touch not only my personal issues, but all of our common issues." says Gonzalez of creating the record.

Being a singer-songwriter for over 15 years, Freddy Gonzalez has plenty of experience consistently working on his writing and recording technique. However, it was when his brother (producer SamUiLL) began sending him tracks to collaborate on, that things really started opening up.

As Freddy himself puts it, "When I first received the track from my brother (SamUiLL), I saw a picture of myself sitting somewhere, like on top of a building. I was reclining with my feet up, calm and rested. I remember feeling a sense of accomplishment. Then I heard, ‘I Can’t forget!’"

From there the two of them continued working on the project  together as SamUiLL had given him the foundation to build from. Not long after, Show You was finally born and a new  direction in Freddy's musical journey had begun.

The Show You  EP is available now for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets and the artist is always working on new material for upcoming releases.
