With the release of the Loveshine album Erene Mastrangeli takes a fresh approach to a personal pop style. Laced with addictive melodies, bright undertones, and plenty of honesty, the record boasts the aesthetic of acoustic pop anthems.

"The idea for an album came from my producer. I went to him to record an EP but after listening to a bunch of my songs he suggested we’d do an album. I agreed with him, it was time for me to embark on that adventure.

I wrote the title track, Love, Shine, in response to the mass shooting at the LGTBQ night club Pulse, in Orlando, in 2016. That was the day I woke up to the insanity of gun violence in this country because it hit my community and I felt this time it was personal. The only thing I could do was to go to my guitar, which once again became my refuge and source of soothing. When the song was completed I felt it spoke to me, I swear. I heard this message saying, “I need to be recorded and get out into the world, regardless of how you feel about it”. I just obeyed that voice. I went in search for a producer, and I found my match in Rome, of all places. I packed my bags, rented my apartment in Brooklyn, and proceeded to stay in Italy for 8 months. It was the best decision of my life! Working with Daniele Sinigallia was such a gift. He was in love with my songs as much as I was and he totally got me, musically, emotionally and spiritually. We recorded this album as a concept album, meant to be listened from start to finish, possibly in the order we decided."  Erene explains about creating the record.

Erene's musical journey started at only 8 years old when she was first introduced to the guitar which later became her refuge from the dysfunctions of family and stresses of life, but it was also writing poetry that helped spark her musical endeavors.

Erene began writing her own music when she was 13 and it was all instrumentally composed with guitar or piano which she learned by watching her sister take piano lessons.

It wasn't until about 19 that the artist began putting the poetry and the music together.

After a few struggles at first, her first song was created and from then on, she has been in love with songwriting.

The Loveshine album is a testament to where she is at with her sound right now.

The first single from the record, "What Is Love" gives a beautiful example of what to expect from the album.

"I wrote it after an uncomfortable conversation with a friend where she told me that her feelings for me changed. I felt taken aback because it came out of left field and it kind of broke my heart. I lost trust in my friend, and I wrote this very dramatic song about it :) Our friendship totally recovered after that incident." Says Erene of the single.

The Loveshine album is available on all major outlets for streaming and download and the artist is always working on new music.
