With the release of the Lace album, Dystoria delivers a soiree of rock tonality that expands into edgy and alternative soundscapes.
"Lace is extremely important to us as it defines our future. It tells our friends, family, our city, and eventually a lot more, that we are serious about this. That our song writing and talent is something special. That our dreams of being world-touring rockstars is not some high school kids' fairytale but a true goal and possibility. Lace comes from the creativity of two teenagers with a love of good music, who wear eyeliner, listen to too much radiohead and want to be rockstars...and have no shame of it.
Lace comes from the need of new, refreshing music, our rock idols influencing us into an authentic yet nostalgic sound that begs the emotion out of our listener. Lace is just the beginning," explains the band of their record.
After meeting at Lincoln Highschool in downtown Portland, Oregon, Miles Reed and Chase Kochis started playing music together during the course of their 2022 summer break.
It wasn't long before they ended up writing their first track which proved to be addictive and catchy right off the bat. They knew they were onto something and kept at it.
Both Chase and Miles are multi-instrumentalists who trade off singing, playing guitar and drums.
The two friends would end up spending hours at a local rehearsal space writing together.
The outcome became the Lace album, and it serves as a testament to what this band has to offer.
