"I tend to make music by any means necessary. The instrument or tool used is less important than a strong idea to start a project and I'm not too particular where the idea initially comes from. Most of the time I’m just trying to bring the sounds in my head into reality so others can hear it. The process largely consists of the struggle around that," explains dronehands.
dronehands is a diverse, multi-talented musician from Los Angeles, California.
He has and will always consider himself a painter. He started as a painter, moved over to film, ended up in sound editing, and became a musician because he wanted to tell stories.
To this day, he insists that everything he does - whether film or music, or any other creative field - is just another form of painting; music is a sound painting, video is an image painting, poetry is a word painting. His creative goal is to paint everywhere he can figure out how.
He released an album, "Beat Poetry", on the mau5trap label in 2019, and launched his own label called BIGFROG Records in 2023. Songs from his catalog have been received international radio airplay and are featured on various renowned Spotify playlists. Albums "Pure Cinema", "Text to Speech", and "vs. Universe" have been released on BIGFROG Records.
The vs. Universe album showcases a combination of soundscapes that build entire atmospheres and with hints of emotional undertone throughout.
