With the release of their debut EP, “Bleed”, Broke Body builds on elements of different genres to give the record a life of its own. Laced with addictive progressions, and persistent dark pop undertones, the record boasts the aesthetic of indie rock anthems and moody punk rock and roll.

The first single, “Cold Hands", immediately grabs you with it's infectious 90's alt rock feel, followed by it's ability to breathe and grow as it plays on.

"The single explores themes of loss and death and the inability to make total sense of these things” explains the band of their single.

Although the single speaks volumes for the EP, to get a real understanding of where Broke Body is coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.

"The Bleed EP is the first thing we made together we felt comfortable standing behind and sharing. Our friends at Evergreen Audio in Philly really supported us through the process of recording and mixing. They helped us dial in the distinct tones and sounds that we wanted and add texture in the recordings and it was an incredibly fun and rewarding process” says the band of creating the record.

Broke Body began taking shape when guitarist/vocalist Jackie McLaughlin and bassist/vocalist Sarina Carr met in Philadelphia in 2018. The two began writing songs and playing together and it wasn't long before they began auditioning drummers for the project. This is where they met drummer Rich Ochs, who immediately became a staple to the song writing process and who dubbed the trio “Broke Body”.

The Bleed EP was released on Philadelphia based Good How Are You Records and is available now for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets and the band is currently touring extensively in support of the record.
