With the release of the "Mushroom" single, Bobby Ray, joined by the 422 West band, delivers a classic rock approach that comes through with an emotional drive and genuine feel.
"It’s really funny. How the song came to be. I myself had never experienced “Mushrooms” except on a T-Bone steak at Texas Roadhouse. My friend & songwriter Rollin & I got the idea from my wife and the decorations in her kitchen. She jokingly suggested we write about mushrooms, and it turned out to be a really good idea.
I would say it’s about a guy who experiences heartbreak totally blindsided and is left with his thoughts and the only way to escape his pain," explains Bobby Ray of the single.
Since he was a young boy, Bobby Ray dreamt of standing on stage, performing songs for an audience. Inspired and influenced by greats like Johnny Cash, Elvis, and more, Bobby Ray is now living that dream.
Professionally releasing music since 2020 on Spotify, Bobby Ray has already received acclaim for his music and "Mushroom" is no exception.
Joined by the 422 West Band, Bobby Ray's new release serves as a testament to where his sound is at right now.
"I think I was a very shallow Songwriter when I was younger, but living life helps you to dive deeper .It helps to have a good critic (My Wife). I try not to just write I have to be inspired. I certainly don’t want to write just to write and then have my music sound the same. I still think I hold true to my roots and that’s good old Rock and Roll," says Bobby Ray.
The single follows his previously released "It's Always Something". a country toned song that was inspired by life itself.
"Mushroom" is available for streaming and download on all major outlets and Bobby Ray is performing regularly as he works on new material for upcoming releases.
