With the release of his self titled EP, Bad Dreams takes a fresh approach to some classic genres and gives the record a life all its own. Laced with addictive progressions, an emo-pop approach, and a youthful energy, the EP boasts the aesthetic of indie pop anthems.
The first single, “My Flames / Old Bell", immediately grabs you with it's infectious electro dream pop feel, followed by an increasingly aggressive proggression allowing it to breathe and transform as it plays on.
"Honesty this particular single stands out from the other songs quite a bit, but in general it's a good example of the more alternative feel that is present in a lot of my new work." explains songwriter Teejay Wood of his single.
Although the single speaks volumes for the EP, to get a real understanding of where Bad Dreams is coming from, the record should be heard in its entirety.
"It's definitely one of the more progressed songs on the album, if that makes sense. I went pretty experimental with this one and ended up learning a lot in the process just about how I want to be producing music and the sound I want to achieve." says Wood of creating the record.
Bad Dreams is the brainchild of songwriter and producer Teejay Wood. After dissolving his previous chip-tune based project "Clone Cabin" in 2016, Wood decided to take a more emotionally driven approach, blossoming into the goth/ pop sound that has become a staple for his music now.
Bad Dreams is available now for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets and the artist is currently working on new material for upcoming releases.
