"Guiding Star tells the story of a lost soul in search of direction as they navigate through the complexities and uncertainties of life. For me the song reflects on my journey of faith, whilst also acknowledging that my 'guiding star' has sometimes been a person who's offered support or encouragement along the way. " explains Alexander of his single.

Alexander Joseph honed his craft by performing in Bath consistently and in doing so, has created not only a performance, but a sound that really serves as a testament to where he is at as an artist. ​

At the same time, Alexander also toured the UK with a cover band that helped him test out is early material in a crowd setting.

The artist has since released a string of singles along with several EP's and with each release he manages to grow and evolve as a musician and artist.

"When I first started out, I was largely influenced by the sounds of my youth, which included bands like Oasis, The Verve and Coldplay, but over time as I've matured as a songwriter and spent time exploring other genres, I've navigated towards folk, whilst still holding onto my indie rock roots. I'm intrigued by the storytelling aspect of folk music, which is something I try to incorporate within my songs as I look to take the listener on a lyrical journey. " says the songwriter of his evolution as a songwriter.
