A House Safe for Tigers
EPK
With the release of the full length Space Between album, A House Safe For Tigers takes a new approach to some classic genres to give the record a life all it's own. Lush with addicting progressions, chamber pop undertones, and persistent 90's alt rock style, the record boasts the aesthetic of indie rock anthems.
The first single, “Bumblebee", immediately grabs you with it's infectious pop groove, followed by classic rock vocal harmonies, deep rooted string sections, and an ability to build and breathe as it plays on.
"The song is about dealing with anxiety. Occasionally my life becomes really affected by these episodes, especially when it comes to relationships. So the verses are kind of about battling my anxiety issues. On the bright side sometimes the littlest things can bring me out of what I've jokingly referred to as 'The dark place.' I think in part it’s because when someone is dealing with that kind of issue they’re senses become hyper vigilant in a way. The chorus of the song touches on how watching a bumblebee working away inside a flower garden by my house helped me while I was dealing with one of those anxiety filled episodes. I remember how watching it buzzing around pollinating the flowers just kind of mesmerized me and really helped me pick myself up that particular day." explains songwriter Mark Costantino of the bands single.

Although the single speaks volumes for the album, to get a real understanding of where A House Safe For Tigers is coming from, it should be heard in its entirety.
"The first album relied on a lot of midi based/keyboard & orchestration to drive the songs. On this one I played a lot more guitar on them and real bass. We also had a couple great bass players play on some tracks (Jonathan Hughes & Eric Van Rysdam.) We also had Jacob Brockway play pedal steel on a track, which helped in making this a sort of Americana album made by anglophiles. " says multi instrumentalist Brandon Delmont creating the record.
A House Safe For Tigers is the brainchild of songwriters Mark Costantino and Brandon Delmont. Having known each other from the music scene in upstate Buffalo NY, Mark was a fan of Brandons' solo release and eventually asked if he wanted to collaborate on something new. From day one, they knew they were onto something good. The two went onto to release a self titled debut record in 2015 and continued writing songs for the next release. Finally, in July of 2019 the Space Between album was born. The record is a testament to where they are at with their sound right now.
Space Between is available now for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets.
